知名杂志《经济学人》日前公布了2016年全球最佳商学院排名，全球第一丶全球第二的商学院都在芝加哥地区： 芝加哥大学布斯商学院全球第一，西北大学凯洛格商学院全球第二。根据这项排名，全球最佳商学院前50名中，有10所位于芝加哥及美国中西部地区。

在过去七年以来《经济学人》全球最佳商学院排名中，这已是芝加哥大学布斯商学院（University of Chicago － Booth School of Business）第六次获得全球第一的排名。芝加哥大学布斯商学院，平均每年入学新生接近600人，其中来自亚洲及澳大利亚的学生占17%。学生平均GMAT分数为727，学生年龄在23岁至35岁之间，平均年龄27岁，平均拥有4.6年工作经验。
位于芝加哥北郊艾文斯顿的西北大学凯洛格商学院（Northwestern University － Kellogg School of Management），排名也从去年的全球第七，迅速上升到全球第二。西北大学凯洛格商学院，平均每年入学新生近500人，来自亚洲及澳大利亚的学生占10%。学生平均GMAT分数为721，学生年龄在24岁至35岁之间，平均年龄27岁，平均拥有5年工作经验。

西北大学凯洛格商学院的MBA学位，学制也是21个月，学生在毕业三个月内找到工作的比例为96%，刚毕业学生年薪中位数约12.2万美元，与获得该校MBA学位之前的薪水相比，薪资涨幅高达70%，该商学院的学杂费每年约12.8万。
Economist 全球商学院排名前15名概览
《经济学人》杂志指出，全球排名顶尖商学院绝大部分在美国，全球前15名最佳商学院有11所在美国。全球排名前15名的商学院，其共同特征包括：一，学生一毕业就能找到高薪工作。二，MBA学位含金量高，平均起薪超过10万美元，与获得MBA学位之前薪水相比薪资涨幅大。三，就读成本高，平均学费11.2万美元。
《经济学人》杂志的全球顶尖商学院排名，其评选标准主要包括四个方面：一，进入全新职业领域的机会，占35%权重。二，个人发展与教育履历，占35%权重。三，毕业后薪水涨幅，占20%权重。四，校友及人脉资源，占10%。
