据洪金宝自已所说，他与曹恩玉结婚是因“人在异乡，又有人对自己好照顾，好容易日久生情。有一次我到韩国工作，她陪我去酒店办理全天登记入住，怎么知道酒店员工不准她住进去，我跟酒店人员理论，他说要证明身份才可以，于是我气得说她就是我太太，第二天就去领事馆跟她办结婚手续！”

虽然是一时冲动结的婚，但是婚后曹恩玉还是对洪家当成了自己的家，先后为洪金宝生了4个孩子（3男一女）。由于洪金宝工作忙，曹恩玉不仅要独自带着四个孩子，还要打理家务、照顾公婆，因此洪家班的那帮兄弟十分敬重这位大嫂。
1991年，二人14年的感情就此烟消云散。谈到离婚的原因，洪金宝说：“这14年来，我经常去泡妞，武师都会去跳舞、喝酒，晚晚迟归，老婆整天大吵特吵”。后来洪金宝终于忍受不住了日复一日的争吵，决定同她离婚。

离婚后，洪金宝娶了自己的女徒弟高丽虹，而曹恩玉则是终身未嫁。如今唯一令她感到欣慰的是四个子女已经长大成人，并且在事业上都取得了令她骄傲的成绩。
大儿子洪天明作为一名优秀的实力派演员，每年都有新作品问世；二儿子洪天祥则是痴迷于音乐，获得陶喆力捧；三儿子洪天照则继承父亲衣钵，武艺了得，在娱乐圈靠自己的双手打出了一片新天地；小女儿洪熙榆年轻貌美，大学毕业后做了银行业职员，白领生活令人艳羡。
