“发现粤剧遗产”活动进入湾区校园社区

【侨报记者张苗10月17日南湾报道】加大伯克利分校联合旧金山市立大学（City College of S.F）、旧金山安老自助处（ Self Help for the Elderly ），于近日共同推出“发现粤剧遗产”（Discovering the Legacy of Cantonese Opera.）系列活动。
从10月14日至11月4日，主办方会将陆续推出4场“发现粤剧遗产”系列活动。10月14日在旧金山市立大学唐人街校区举行，香港科技大学教授、著名红学家余珍珠（ Angelina Yee）给听众带来一场关于《红楼梦》的讲座。同时，根据曹雪芹小说《红楼梦》改编的粤剧《红楼梦》，将于10月21、22日在旧金山Scottish Rite Masonic Center演出两场。此外，得州大学圣安东尼奥分校历史系教授伍荣仲（Wing Chung Ng）也将给粤剧爱好者带来关于粤剧在美国和加拿大的发展历史的演讲。
活动发起人、前加大伯克利分校亚美人研究中心主任和前少数族裔研究系主任王灵智教授介绍，伍荣仲教授在其专著The Rise of Cantonese Opera中系统梳理了粤剧的发展史，其中有3章着重介绍粤剧在北美的发展。
王灵智提到，“发现粤剧遗产”是加大伯克利分校首次与社区组织旧金山安老自助处联合举办的活动。
粤剧是中国广东传统戏曲之一，源自南戏，流行于岭南地区等粤人聚居地。自明朝嘉靖年间开始在广东、广西出现，是糅合唱念做打、乐师配乐、戏台服饰、抽象形体的表演艺术。粤剧名列于2006年5月20日公布的第一批518项国家级非物质文化遗产名录之内。2009年9月30日，粤剧获联合国教科文组织肯定，列入世界非物质文化遗产名录。当今，粤剧仍流行于广东、广西、台湾和港澳，以及新加坡、马来西亚、越南、缅甸、美国、加拿大等有广东华侨聚居的国家和地区。
