If you're eyeing the Civil Protector Relic on Astra Malorum, treat it like a marathon, not a quick side quest, and don't be surprised if you end up practicing your movement the way you would in a CoD BO7 Bot Lobby before you even commit. The run only makes sense if you're built for late rounds, because the whole thing hinges on surviving deep into the match. Set your match up at Tier 2 Cursed or higher so you've got enough room to carry what you need. Then play it safe, save resources, and keep your rhythm steady.

Early on, your job is simple: don't get greedy. You want armor you can rely on, a weapon that won't fall off the moment the round speed spikes, and a backup plan for when the map decides to pinch you. People mess this up by buying every shiny thing and wondering why they're broke later. Grab the perks you actually use, build toward a loadout you can maintain, and keep one "panic button" option ready for crowded hallways. If you've got a route you can run half-asleep, stick to it.

Here's the part that catches folks off guard: the quest doesn't really wake up until Round 60. So yeah, you're doing a lot of surviving before you even touch the "puzzle" part. Once you finally roll past that mark, head to the Museum Infinitum and look up. You're hunting chandeliers with single lit candles. With PHD Flopper on, you'll be using the flop blast to snuff them out, but the game doesn't hand you the order. Try a consistent method so you can remember what failed—left to right, clockwise, whatever feels natural.

The annoying bit is the reset. If you pop the wrong candle in the sequence, it wipes your progress, and you'll usually need to roll the round before you can properly attempt it again. That's why rushing it feels awful. Do one attempt, call your shot, then move on cleanly. When you finally nail the sequence, you'll hear an activation sound that stands out from normal map noise. The second you hear it, stop sightseeing and rotate straight to the Crash Site.

At the Crash Site, you'll spot the Red Relic Trial orb hovering and waiting. Touch it and you're locked in: six waves, packed with sprinters that don't give you breathing room, and the pressure ramps up hard in the middle and at the end when HVT Mimics show. Keep moving, don't tunnel on the Mimic so long that sprinters box you in, and save your strongest damage tools for those HVT moments. Clear all six waves and you'll get pulled out with the Civil Protector Head Relic unlocked, but it comes with a nasty twist for future runs: Perk Decay, where kills slowly chew through your perks, so if you want to flex and still stay sane, plan ahead or buy BO7 Bot Lobby time to sharpen your consistency before you bring that handicap into a serious match.
