Location: U.S. hire, working location in China for one year

We are a U.S. high-tech startup company specializing in the areas of computer vision, pattern recognition, and image/video analysis. We are expanding our operation in China. We have several openings seeking people who are independent, self-motivated, and passionate in working in a start-up environment with appropriate experience and qualifications. The qualified people are expected to play leadership role and make key contributions in developing key technology and products.
Job Summary:
Develop original algorithms and software code to produce practical solutions/products in the areas of image/video analysis, computer vision and pattern recognition.
Salary:
Comparable to U.S. workers of similar experience and qualifications after tax.
Essential Functions:
Lead a team of software engineers in developing advanced software technology in the areas of pattern recognition, computer vision, and image/video analysis
Work with CTO and other teams to ensure all development requirements are met effectively
Work as a member of core technical leadership team and play a critical role in key technology/algorith m design and development
Program in C/C++ in the cross-platform environments
The candidate must have:
Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other related field
Tracking record of developing cutting-edge algorithms in any one or more areas of computer vision, machine learning and pattern recognition, and image/video analysis
Strong creativity in R&D and algorithm design capability
Passion in working in a highly-paced start-up environment, with a burning desire to develop state-of-the- art software technology
5+ years experience programming with C/C++ in the cross-platform environments
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
