西尼罗病毒出没圣谷 灭蚊不可掉以轻心

【侨报记者翁羽11月14日洛杉矶报道】最新数据显示洛杉矶县的西尼罗病毒（West Nile virus）感染和死亡率相比去年有所上升，圣盖博谷病媒控制局（San Gabriel Valley Mosquito Vector Control District）的数据则是显示尽管天气降温，但在洛杉矶东区华人聚居的圣盖博谷依然发现不少感染西尼罗病毒的病蚊。
根据加州公共卫生部（California Department of Public Health）的最新数据显示，今年截至目前共有25人因感染西尼罗病毒死亡，比去年多出6例。感染病毒人数高达454人，比2016年高出17%。
其中，洛县情况尤为严重，有235人感染病毒，17人死亡。相比去年，洛县的感染病毒人数为153人，6人死亡。
加州自2003年首次发现西尼罗病毒后，已有超过6000人曾受到了感染，并造成超过245人死亡。此后，西尼罗病毒每年都会在加州流行，对公众健康造成危害。
而在圣盖博谷，圣盖博谷病媒控制局从5月开始就发出警告，区域内的蚊子处于携带和传播西尼罗病毒的活跃期，居民有被感染的危险。根据数据显示，5月后每个月都会在不同城市发现超过10起确认感染西尼罗病毒源案例。不过，虽然数据上显示8月以后确认感染西尼罗病毒源案例数量有所下降，但加州卫生部的数据显示9月反而有更多人感染上西尼罗病毒。
对此，圣盖博谷病媒控制局表示，在气温稳定降到50华氏度前，病蚊很难绝迹。因为传播西尼罗病毒病蚊会通常在池子、水桶和其它容器的积水里发现，所以应清除住家周围的所有积水。
圣盖博谷病媒控制局提供完全免费的上门检查和灭蚊服务，居民们可以访问其网站或者拨打电话。
