去年，一份关于留美中国学生被开除丶取消学生身份的白皮书报告发布之后，引起了舆论哗然和社会大众的关心。根据中国教育部的官方统计数据，2014年，出国留学的学生人数达45.98万人；其中，低龄留学生成为新力军，掀起了新一轮的留学浪潮。在这股浪潮中，被开除学生群体的数量激增，吸引了中美社会各界的关注。

《留美中国学生现状白皮书》概述

为此，美国厚仁教育研究中心以全美1,657名被开除中国留学生的真实情况作为数据支持，制作了2015版《留美中国学生现状白皮书》，并于美东时间5月26日（北京时间5月27日）全球首发。

这一天，正是国际教育工作者协会在波士顿举办一年一度的教育交流大展开幕日，来自世界各国的优秀教育工作者在展会上互相交流丶认识，了解最新教育动态。

作为全球首份重点关注被开除留学生群体的数据报告，白皮书针对容易出现学术问题的留学生群体做了细分，剖析了这个群体中极易被忽视的人群及开除缘由，并统计了开除中国学生最多的学校名单丶开除率最高的专业和常青藤大学中被开除的学生数目丶特征等。

数据显示，被开除的高危留学群体有以下几方面的共通点：80.55%因学术表现差或学术不诚实而被开除丶69.43%来美国不到2年丶过半数（51.28%）的学生GPA低于2.0丶88.7%的被开除学生为18－25岁丶79.04%本科或硕士学位在读丶主要集中在加州－纽约州－宾州－俄亥俄州－伊利诺伊州－马萨诸塞州等地区。

常青藤女生竟是高危人群？

值得注意的是，报告发现，被开除的学生群体并不仅限于学术表现差的学生，除了一些GPA过低被开除的学生外，有不少成绩优秀（GPA在3.0至3.5不等）却被开除的学生出自常春藤名校，而且，该群体多为在读女硕士，开除原因主要为作弊丶申请材料作假丶诚信问题等。白皮书指出，女留学生成绩优异，却容易因为就读于名校而过分注重成绩，加上自身能力问题或无法适应美国校园激烈的竞争环境而选择学术不诚实，被学校发现后严厉处分。

低龄留学生忧患重重？

白皮书针对低龄留学生专门作了专题分析，报告中提到，18-21岁之间被学校开除的中国低龄学生共有795名，被开除的原因有相当一部分来自行为失当和违反法律。低龄留学生因年龄小，自理和自制能力较差丶无法适应中美教育和生活环境的差异等因素而引发诸多问题。

另外，打架闹事丶在校外过夜等都是小留学生初来美国丶不熟悉学校规范和人文常识而容易触犯的问题。

研究中心专家指出，低龄留学生是遭受学术挫折的高危人群。学生进入美国学校以后，接受正规的学术规划和引导至关重要。不仅是学业，也包括解释校规丶制度丶文化，辅导心理丶学习方式丶弱科等领域，都需要重点关注。

厚仁教育首席发展官陈航建议，由于美国高等教育“宽进严出”，每个学生都需要尽快适应美国新的教育模式和新文化环境，加上中西差异巨大，低龄留美学生存在内在风险，建议寻求基于美国的专业帮助，有效预防，避免学术挫折的发生。希望白皮书的调查内容能引起更多社会关注，让准备赴美留学丶在美修读课程的学生引以为戒。
